Ontario has completed its planned speed limit increases on approximately 938 kilometres of provincial highways, with the final sections increasing to 110 km/h now in effect. These changes are helping make travel faster and more consistent for drivers while improving the movement of people and goods across the province.
With more than 900 kilometres of provincial highways now posted at 110 km/h, the increases apply to key corridors across Ontario, including sections of Highways 400, 401, 402, 403, 404, 406, 407, 412, 416, 417, 418, Highway 7, Highway 115, and the QEW. These routes connect communities, workers, and businesses across the province.
By improving the highway network and increasing travel efficiency, Ontario is helping reduce travel times, support economic growth, and keep people and goods moving safely across the province
