In the face of ongoing economic uncertainty and U.S. tariffs, Ontario is continuing to lower costs, cut red tape, and create the conditions for businesses to invest, expand, and create jobs. These efforts have helped reduce the cost of doing business by $12 billion annually, strengthening Ontario’s competitiveness and supporting long-term economic growth.
Since 2018, businesses have invested more than $235 billion in Ontario, helping create over one million new jobs across the province. Measures such as cutting the small business tax rate from 3.2 per cent to 2.2 per cent and reducing regulatory burdens are helping businesses keep more money to reinvest in their operations and workforce.
By lowering costs and encouraging investment, Ontario is building a stronger, more competitive, and more resilient economy while supporting workers, businesses, and communities across the province.
