Record Investments for Municipalities

Ontario is making record investments to help municipalities build stronger, more resilient communities and support long-term growth. Since 2019, provincial support for municipalities has increased by more than 60 per cent, helping local governments invest in critical infrastructure, public services, and housing-enabling projects.

This year, Ontario is providing $600 million through the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund and $400 million through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund to support small, rural, and northern municipalities. The province has also increased funding for municipal housing infrastructure, homelessness prevention programs, and land ambulance services to help communities meet growing demand.

These investments are helping municipalities build the infrastructure they need, support housing development, strengthen local services, and ensure communities across Ontario remain strong, competitive, and prepared for the future.
