Ontario has welcomed a $132 million investment from Tempel Canada to build a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Burlington, further strengthening the province’s advanced manufacturing sector. Supported by a $5 million investment through Ontario’s Regional Development Program, the project will help meet growing demand for industrial transformer products across North America.
The new 250,000-square-foot facility will create nearly 100 new good-paying jobs while protecting more than 200 existing positions, delivering long-term benefits for workers, families, and the local economy. It is another example of businesses choosing to invest and grow in Ontario because of our skilled workforce and competitive business environment.
As our government continues to navigate global economic uncertainty, we remain focused on attracting investment, supporting job creators, and building a stronger economy. Since 2018, Ontario has attracted more than $235 billion in investments, helping create good-paying jobs and reinforcing Ontario’s position as a leader in manufacturing and innovation.
