Our government is expanding eligibility for the Protect Ontario Financing Program (POFP) and the Ontario Together Trade Fund (OTTF) to help businesses and workers respond to the latest U.S. trade actions, including new import bans on Canadian alcohol, dairy products, and motorcycles.
The $1 billion Protect Ontario Financing Program will provide newly impacted businesses with access to financing to help manage operating costs, protect jobs, and navigate ongoing economic uncertainty. Ontario is also expanding access to the $150 million Ontario Together Trade Fund, which helps businesses strengthen domestic supply chains, expand interprovincial trade, and diversify into new markets.
These measures build on Ontario’s broader tariff response strategy and ensure businesses have the tools they need to adapt, remain competitive, and reduce reliance on a single export market. At the same time, Ontario continues to support exporters through new trade opportunities across Canada and international markets, helping protect jobs and strengthen the province’s long-term economic resilience.
