Ontario is investing more than $10.9 million through the Skills Development Fund to help nearly 2,000 workers and jobseekers gain the skills, training, and hands-on experience needed for rewarding careers in health care.
These projects will provide specialized training, work placements, mentorship, and career supports for nurses, personal support workers, medical laboratory technologists, and other in-demand health-care professions. By expanding opportunities for workers and jobseekers, we are helping build a stronger health-care workforce and improving access to care for Ontario families.
This investment is part of our ongoing commitment to training workers for in-demand careers and ensuring Ontario’s health-care system has the skilled professionals it needs now and in the future.
