Making Public Spaces Safe

Our government has opened the new Kingston HART Hub, completing the rollout of all 29 Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hubs across Ontario. Supported by a $560 million investment, HART Hubs are focused on connecting people struggling with addiction and homelessness to treatment, recovery, primary care, mental health services, and supportive housing.

With the Kingston HART Hub now operational, Ontario has replaced the last provincially funded drug injection site and continues to focus on treatment and recovery-based care. To date, HART Hubs have delivered more than 460,000 client interactions, helping connect vulnerable individuals to the supports they need to rebuild their lives.

This initiative builds on broader efforts to support recovery, improve community safety, and ensure people have access to the care and services they need while strengthening communities across the province
