Our government is helping lower costs for Ontario families by keeping the provincial gas and fuel tax cuts in place. Since 2022, these tax cuts have put $2.3 billion back into the pockets of families and businesses, saving households nearly $500 on average.
To provide further relief, Premier Ford is calling on the federal government to extend the suspension of its fuel excise tax on gasoline and diesel until at least January 1, 2027. With affordability remaining a top concern for families, workers, and businesses, keeping fuel costs down will help protect household budgets and support Ontario’s economy.
