Attracting Investment From Around the World

With an additional 50 per cent tariff on Canadian exports now in effect, Ontario remains focused on protecting workers, supporting businesses, and building the most competitive and resilient economy in the G7. By lowering taxes, cutting red tape, and creating the conditions for growth, Ontario continues to attract investment and create good-paying jobs across the province.

Since 2018, Ontario has attracted more than $235 billion in investment and helped create over one million new jobs, driven by growth in key sectors including advanced manufacturing, technology, life sciences, agri-food, and critical minerals. In 2025 alone, 750 companies invested $35 billion in Ontario, creating 64,000 new jobs.

As global economic uncertainty continues, Ontario is leveraging its skilled workforce, strong business environment, and strategic investments to attract new opportunities, strengthen supply chains, and ensure long-term prosperity for workers, families, and communities across the province.
